Cat Singer is a 10 year old gelding that knows he’s very special having won nearly $420,000 in just 28 starts/ 7 were stakes wins. His donor retired him immediately upon realizing he was no longer a Stakes horse and he has spent the past 12 months turned out on his owner’s farm. He retired sound with no injuries and is now ready for a new career – his donor thought he was bored with the pasture life. He has been turned out with both mares and geldings and gets along great with both.
Cat Singer has no vices and is good to shoe, clip etc. He is a kind, honest horse and treated with respect, he will do his best for his rider. Not spooky, he has been ridden in the arena and goes very nice and easy. Depending on the weather in the next few days, he will be trail ridden on over 200 acres to give him more exposure to life away from the track and I anticipate that he will really take to it. He comes across as a horse that would be good for hill topping and trails although he should be sound for anything including low level jumping. As a precautionary note, any rustling of mint wrappers will result in the nearest person being mauled for treats – he knows all about mints and will accept no substitute!
