Adoptable Horses Description
Dottie is a tall and beautiful thoroughbred mare, who is ready to find her forever home. She is an ex-racehorse and former broodmare who was approved by the Westphalian registry. She’s had a difficult life and shows clear signs of having been mistreated in the past. Dottie loves to be groomed and spending time with people. She’s a lovely mare who deserves a good home where she can become part of the family. She is a wonderful companion and easy to handle. She is very well behaved for the farrier, vet and to trailer. Her ideal home will have her in pasture 24/7. She has been turned out with other mares, older geldings and young horses.
She has been with SAFE for over 3 years and deserves to live out the rest of her days with a loving family to call her own. Will you give Dottie the forever home she deserves? By adopting a SAFE companion horse, you provide a loving forever home for a rescue and help save the life of the next horse we take in! Although they are not suitable for riding, beyond the love and friendship they will provide you can also train them for other purposes. You could teach them tricks, liberty work, work in therapy or you could participate with them in NAWD’s 6 feet on the ground program. Dottie is ready for a person and a home to call her own and she will make someone a wonderful friend and companion. Read more about Dottie’s story at: https://www.safehorses.org/?page_id=15309
